Coordinating logistics in the construction industry is a difficult job. CEMEX Go, CEMEX’s end-to-end digital platform, has been making it easier for nearly five years. In its latest feature improvement; the Pick-Up Visibility view was tailor-made specifically for managing pick-up orders of cement and aggregates.
Through Pick-Up Visibility, customers can view a dashboard with real-time information on all their job sites, including products, dispatched loads, and product quantity. A detailed view shows additional information such as order status, dispatch time, delivery ticket, truck number, and when the order was dispatched. All this information can be filtered by date and downloaded into an Excel file, a boon for customers’ conciliation process.
Access to this real-time information reduces the need for multiple phone calls by providing transparency between users, haulers, and CEMEX.
Pick-Up Visibility is the result of years of data and listening to customers. Over 60 interviews and more than 100 surveys were done to better understand how to create a superior pick-up experience before piloting the feature in the United States. After a successful pilot and continued improvement, the feature is being rolled out globally in 2022.
