Over the years, we have forged lasting international relationships with customers, suppliers, and shippers. This enables us to move building materials from markets with excess supply and meet customers´ need for quality virtually all over the world.

As our organization and our industry have grown, the goals of our trading operations have grown along with them. CEMEX Trading started as a means to maximize our domestic production capacity, but now our trading operations enable us to forge lasting international relationships and explore new markets.

Products offered

In 2021 CEMEX traded more than 13 million metric tons of cementitious materials around the world.

Grey Cement and Clinker Cement is the main ingredient of ready-mix concrete. Whether in bags, big bags, or in bulk, we provide our customers with high-quality cement products for their construction needs.
Ground Granulated & Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS & GBFS) Blast furnace slag is a by-product of the steel industry. This cementitious material provides specific characteristics to ready-mix concrete; among other properties, it improves workability, increases resistance to aggressive chemicals, and lowers heat of hydration.
Other Products CEMEX Trading commercializes other products such as gypsum, fly ash, pozzolan, white cement and special mortars that complement global requirements for construction materials.
Petcoke Petroleum coke is a byproduct of the Coker refinery with high calorific value and despite its higher sulfur content it has been widely used in the cement industry and power plants. Given the strong petcoke portfolio that we have and our long-standing relationships with many major refineries around the world, CEMEX is in a position to be able to offer a highly competitive long term petcoke supply agreements.
Coal Coal is one of the world’s most important sources of energy, fueling almost 40% of electricity worldwide. Coal has been the world’s fastest growing energy source in recent years – faster than gas, oil, nuclear, hydro and renewables.
